
For 50 years CHARLES E. (Charley) MORGAN has been engaged in the design of sail and power yachts, small commercial vessels and special watercraft for several Theme Parks and Tourist Attractions; including the original fleet of over 100 special watercraft for DISNEY WORLD, Florida that included the submarines, (2) side and (1) sternwheeler of approximately 100 ft.
As
founding partner of THE MORGAN YACHT CORPORATION, and as its chief of design,
Charley organized, directed and managed the company's engineering and design
team and its product development effort until his retirement from the company.

SNAME Inducted as a Member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers in 1971, Charley has remained a member of SNAME for thirty- two years and has served on the Society�s panel for advanced hydromantic studies for sailing yachts. |
COMPUTER TECHNOLOGIES In his current work, and in keeping with the advancing technologies of the times, Morgan uses numerous of the latest computer based hull design, performance prediction and structural software tools and aids for sail and power yacht design in metal, composite and wood. |

FIRST LAUNCHING of a 47', trailerable, fast, aluminum, �trawleresque� yacht.
Capable of up to 20 knots the vessel of
13.5� beam, provides dual cabins with heads, salon and pilot house. This
vessel too was ordered as a partially completed project and finished by the
owners.

One of the more exciting and interesting design assignments that we have performed in recent years is developing the design of a fast, 65�, 84 passenger, hovercraft for a New York City client investigating feasibility plans for introducing a commuter fleet in the metro-NYC area � The photograph shows a scale model of the design.
